The Book of Revelation’s Hebrew Roots

The book of Revelation is a simple book to understand… IF we see that much of the back of the Bible was probably originally written in Hebrew or Aramaic and try to understand the Fall feasts of the Lord and the whole front of the Book.

Why are all of our manuscripts in Greek and Latin and why do we have no existing Hebrew manuscripts?

First, we do have Hebrew manuscripts of Mathew **edit and I recently obtained a copy of also Hebrews.

On page 462 of his book titled, “The Hebrew Pages of the New Testament”, author Yoseph Veil states the following:

Revelation indeed shows many signs of being translated from Hebrew. I think Revelation was originally written in Hebrew, not Aramaic.” End Edit**

Revelation is really another description and is some of the completed revelation of “the 70th week of Daniel”. Because only a small amount of people study the fall feasts and the “old testament”, there are not many who understand the Revelation of Jesus Christ (Y’shua ha Meshiach) maturely. Mainly Messianic Jews or people who didn’t grow up in “church”, but rather came to faith without being restrained by a particular denominational error.

I am still working on understanding all the details because prophetic books unfold in real time as our eyes are opened up by God. Much has been learned by followers of Jesus since the 50’s when Messianic Jews started to grow (remember, the first Christians were Messianic Jews). Then around 1967 massive amounts of Jews began to be moved by the the Holy Spirit in a supernatural way. What their knowledge of the front of the book brought to the table was significant. And it will take quite a bit of discussion before we can show what that changes about our understanding of the Revelation. Torah2

To understand the Hebrew roots of Revelation, we must first understand that Jesus was a Hebrew, an Israelite by physical birth of the tribe of Judah just like Paul was a Benjamite Jew and all the apostles were Jews. I don’t think we can say He was a Jew by today’s standards but that is a complicated topic.

When Jesus said “follow me”, He didn’t just mean, “get behind Him and follow His footsteps in the sand” like pictures on your wall so you don’t get lost. It can mean that in a way but it also means “be like me and do what I did”. Jesus and His Apostles followed the first 5 books of the Bible 100%. If we aren’t, then we are not “following Jesus” and His Hebraic lifestyle and mindset. We can also learn quite a bit by looking into the Hebrew roots of Native Americans to gain perspective on what it might have looked like before traditions. Many Jews (which are technically only 3 at most out of 12 tribes with Hebraic history) of the first century rejected the Bible’s Messiah 3 times, but not ALL Jews. Many Jews today also reject the Messiah, not able to see the Christian version anywhere the Hebrew Bible (yes, our Bible was written in Hebrew)

The first time recorded was with John the Baptist when some rejected God the Father:

Lu 7:30 But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.

Then some rejected God the Son when they turned Jesus/ Y’shua over to the Romans to be crucified:

Mr 15:13 And they cried out again, Crucify him

Some also rejected/ resisted His Spirit a third time when Stephen was stoned:

Ac 7:51 ¶ Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers?

Similarly, Peter denied the Son 3 times but gave an example of repentance which Messianic Jews practice, as does anyone who turns from their ways to accept God’s Word. Jesus (Y’shua) and His Apostles lived a culture of community that is DEFINED in the front of the Bible, and that fact was documented in the back of the Bible in the gospels and the acts of the apostles. I believe and consider the last book of the Bible (about the last days, Revelation) to be a type of Gospel also. And just like Y’shua fulfilled the Spring feasts (and many prophecies concerning Him) in His first coming (as the Servant in the gospel of Matthew, as a Prophet who was raised a High Priest) He will return and fulfill the fall feasts as the King (Messiah ben David) with a rod of iron. And that is indeed good news, for those who obey His commandments and have the faith of Jesus (Y’shua). Indeed, just like it was prophesied to the VERY day when He would be born and when He would make His triumphal entry and when He returns will come out of the same prophesies by the holy prophets of old. Sure there are some scary parts, and some parts that we won’t fully understand until we are on the other side. But if we truly trust God/ Yahweh/ HaShem as our Creator, we should also Trust Him as our REcreator of the new body with a new name when He returns as it is described in the book of the Revelation.

If we understand the difference between the western mindset and the eastern mindset, we will begin to understand how utterly important it is for us to have the MIND OF MESSIAH, which is an eastern-Hebraic mindset, in order to understand the book of Revelation. In addition to the mindset, the alphabet/ language used itself opens up an entire dimension of understanding to us that almost no Christians today understand. Only those who study Hebrew will be able to begin to grasp the deeper understanding. It is Important to note, that I choose to use the name of God (which we have forgotten as it was prophesied) several different ways depending on who I am talking to. Just like I say or spell the name of Jesus/ Yeshua different ways for the same reason.

Why have we forgotten the Hebrew name of God without even realizing it? Because it was prophesied to happen. Almost every place in the Bible where we see the word “name” we can also translate it with the word “authority”, except for the places where it is specifically talking about the Creator’s name or His Son’s name; there we should know exactly what those names really are. It’s important to get names right because names have meaning in the Bible. For example, if you read the names of Genesis 5 by their meaning instead of their transliteration, we see the gospel clearly written out.

Also, there is no Apostle named James, nor is there a book in the Bible called James. If you read the original language, “James”, the name of both Apostles is the word “Ἰάκωβος” or Jacob in English. It’s interesting to note who the book of Ἰάκωβος (mistranslated as James) was written to:

Jas 1:1 ¶ Jacob, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

The Brother of Jesus was named Jacob; the same name of the man who fathered the 12 tribes that were scattered abroad. God’s name is YHVH (יְהֹוָה), pronounced “yeh-ho-vaw’” or “Yah-weh”. He named His Son, Yeshua (ישוע) which means “YHVH brings salvation”. God’s name (HaShem means “the name” so many Jews use that instead of the ineffible name of G-d out of respect) is not to be used lightly. For this reason many Jews do not pronounce it and you will find that it wasn’t translated in most cases in our Bible. You will see it in the Bible as “the LORD” ever since the translating started, but that’s not His name, that’s one of His titles. Millions of Christians and Jews today, like myself once, incorrectly believe that “Israel” in the Bible is talking about Jews only. For example pastors teach that the 144,000 in Revelation is only talking about the Jews. But the Bible says clearly 12 thousand from EVERY Hebrew tribe that was “scattered abroad”, meaning 12 tribes of Israel of which Judah is technically only 1 tribe of 11 others, (Jews in the first century were primarily from the tribe of Judah/ Benjamin although there were some others in Jerusalem in the first century from every tribe).

Many also believe that we are going to be in heaven forever instead of the Truth that the Kingdom of heaven is coming to us (Revelation 21-22, Isaiah 65-66) and that the “snatching away” happens to the “bad guys”- the “tares”, not the righteous (Revelation 14, Mt 13). How much of the book of Revelation is actually “new revelation” and how much of the “new testament” in general is actually new? How much of the “new testament” defines “sin” (1Jn 3:4) as opposed to referring to it as originating from the Hebrew original text? Isn’t sin the same always and forever, and isn’t sin the “breaking of the law”? Did Yeshua come to redefine sins, or to convince us of the ones we (the nations, Israel and Judah) were breaking? We must know that as Christians we are supposed to be DOING something; the Will of His Father, if we are to be able to say that He “knows us”, that we love Him and He abides in us.

Mt 7:21 ¶ Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Mt 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

John 14:15 ¶ If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

Many Christians don’t understand the words of Paul as it relates to him being a Hebrew, an Israelite Pharisee who sometimes is only writing to “those who know the Torah” (Romans 7) either. Paul was the greatest expert on the Scriptures in his day (Genesis to 2Chronicles/Malachi). Almost everything he discussed in the “new testament” was concerning those “Old Testament” Scriptures, especially their fulfillment by Jesus/ Yeshua in 2 parts or 2 songs (Isaiah 42, 49). So it is important to note that Paul would not preach something that disagrees with John (in his gospel or the Revelation, or any of the 12 prophets or 12 apostles) if they are both true messengers of God/ Yahweh.

Is the book of Revelation the first place that mentions the beasts (nations) of the last days? The book of Daniel has much to say about the beasts, nations in the last days. But twice Yahweh told him to “shut up” the vision (revelation) that the Lord gave him:

Da 8:26 And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.

Da 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Knowledge has certainly increased. Today, we can search through the ENTIRE Old Testament of Hebrew text in seconds and learn what the early “church fathers” didn’t understand.  We can search out the entire “new testament” in seconds and define which parts of it are actually “new” and didn’t already exist or weren’t already stated in the “old testament”. And we can do so in studying the whole Bible in our own language, next to the original language and with scores of study tools that weren’t available until recently. So that is why it is important to study the whole entire Bible in detail using the tools available to us. Luckily, with technology we we can read and study the text for ourselves in the original languages as we sit on the shoulders of giants who came before us who have dug up this information for our consumption and teaching of that which the prophets and apostles have recorded.

But it takes effort, that’s where we fall short usually.

Daniel was a Hebrew prophet of the tribe of Judah, and so was John most likely (the Bible only tells of the tribes of Paul, Joses, Jesus and Mathew, who were sons of Levi and Benjamin and Judah- most likely ). To John was given the rest of the vision that was sealed up for the last days. Yahweh gave it to John almost 2000 years ago through Jesus (Y’shua) and we are only recently starting to fully understand it as the prophesied “pure language” is being revealed (Zeph 3).

I have been going over this stuff in my mind for months and growing exponentially in understanding. I have even shared that it feels like “my DNA is changing” as I am learning more Hebrew, and some major theological shifts have to be made if we are honest, even if it is bitter. I can certainly tell you that I understand what it means in this verse:

Re 10:9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.

Understanding the fullness of prophecy is a gift, it is certainly sweet going in. But when you meditate on it, it causes great lament of the spirit because of where we have missed the mark as a body especially in America.  Every individual with the gift (for the Body, not the individual) understands what this means:

Eze 2:9 And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein; And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.

Eze 3:3 And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness.  And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto them. For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard language, but to the house of Israel;

We must understand that prophecy of the last days is described all over the “old testament” rooted in Hebrew text. And we need to understand these OT prophecies before we attempt to understand Revelation (or even the “New Testament”) which is why it takes so long to build up before talking about Revelation. Today, I believe it is possible we are in interlude between the 5th and 6th or 6th and 7th seals waiting on the 7 trumpets while God continues calling His Bride, Israel (the True Assembly, both houses being restored with anyone from the nations who wants to be grafted in). But it could very well be 100 more years before things become perfectly obvious where we are in time.

How is it that Job (the oldest book of the Bible) would seem to understand the prophetic calamities of the day of Yahweh but we are blind? That may not be obvious at first glance, but everyone who studies the front of the Bible well knows that the 7 days of the week are precursors or shadows of the millennial rest/ Sabbath often called the “thousand-year reign” or “Millennium”.

Job 5:19 He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.

I don’t know for certain that Job knew about the last day in detail, but he certainly seems to know a little more than most of us. This is my belief based on much study over the years plus recent enlightenment, and every believer is free to believe something else about Revelation without any judgement from me. I have believed differently at different stages of my growth in understanding and I may change my mind in the future. At one time, I believed just like the “left behind” series “taught me” to believe about the Rapture and like the catholic church taught denominational institutions of doctrines of men to believe, AKA “churches”; Probably just like most readers believe. I no longer hold that view of waiting on a rapture to suck me into heaven before the tribulation and I haven’t for years. And the more I learn about the feasts of Yahweh the more I understand about the last days before the last feasts are fulfilled when Messiah comes/ returns. So here we must pause harshly, because in order to go any further, since most Christians will have no idea what I am talking about when I talk about the feasts; they need to be defined.

Feasts of Yahweh

All most Christians know about really is “Christmas and Easter”. The feast days (Leviticus 23/ Dt. 16) are the blueprint for the advents of Messiah, they’re not “the feasts of the Jews”. Along with Daniel’s 70 weeks (which was also the amount of time that Jesus’/ Yeshua’s ministry lasted) and Revelation they tell us when to expect things to happen. The wise men knew when Jesus would be born (feast of tabernacles) before the 1st century from a combination of prophecies of Daniel (that was passed from Daniel to the Babylonians when his name was Belteshazzar), as well as calendar and astronomical knowledge that we have lost. But very few of the Jews saw it coming in their day other than I believe the Ebionites because they didn’t understand the spirit of the law or the spirit of the feasts and Sabbaths (Shabbats). Today we are even worse- we have fallen away from God’s feasts, we are asleep for the most part as well as partially blinded to our roots of not only the 1st century but more importantly the 1st decade of Christianity which was comprised of Messianic Jews and gentiles grafted in. There is no gentile gate in the new Jerusalem in the book of Revelation (Ch 21), because there was never a Covenant with gentiles to stay gentiles. God loves gentiles, but He is looking for a Covenant-keeping people who love His instructions/ commandments and want to be grafted in.

Re 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

That is why we need to get the “gentile” out of us and bring back the Kingdom culture of the Bible’s instructions that were written by the finger of the Creator Himself. Gentile means “nations” or “outside the camp” and the “churches” in America especially are full of what the nations do sometimes. It’s almost a kin to Paganism and worldliness, even though no one does it on purpose, any more than the Israelites made a golden calf on purpose- they were just doing what they knew to do, what they were used to doing; doing thing THEIR way, the gentile way. There is no such thing as a “gentile christian” according to the Bible, but that is the identity that we are given by our teachers.

Aside from that, we also battle with our flesh; our carnal, gentile nature, and we all have struggles during the refinement process. As we overcome, we see things more clearly. But none of us are perfect and none of us have it all correct because we ALL need God and the Spirit of Messiah to show us and teach us where to improve and learn. It is important to know that the Hebrew mindset was always to learn in order to DO; The Hellenistic mindset (Greek/ western mindset) was and is to learn for the sake of teaching. Teachers who teach and don’t do are walking a thin line between faith and dead works. That is why the Apostle Jacob (James), who sent his letter to the 12 scattered tribes of Israel said the following:

Jas 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

This brings us finally to begin to be able to start to discuss the Hebraic roots of Revelation; having laid a bit of foundation. I do believe that most of what has been laid out before now is a pre-requisite for getting into the book if we really want to begin to understand as much of it as we can.

Going into the vision John received, most will say that “in the Spirit on the Lord’s day” of chapter one means it was on a Sunday, but this is incorrect (Yahweh/ God didn’t name any days of the week or months for a reason; they are numbered, not named, even though eventually the months received names in Hebrew). It is “the day of the Lord” that John was taken to in Spirit which the Bible talks so much about. It is the Last Day; the one that is talked about all the way back to the oldest book of the Bible, Job, who called it “the day of His wrath”. So the first 3 chapters introduce the giver of the vision, the mediary of the vision and the party to whom it was to be delivered (the 7 synagogues of Asia minor). But in chapter 4 it gets a little fuzzy; It’s a picture of heavenly beings as the door to heaven is revealed.

Chapter 5 and following is very similar in that the heavenly beings are in the picture, and they are showing John more of what the prophet Daniel was shown that made him weep and lament. Namely, that Israel had broken Covenant and there was no one worthy to fix it without breaking Yahweh’s Laws; without sinning against His own self (God).

Re 5:4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.

This caused John to weep much just like Daniel. We have in Chapter 5 a little bit of “Eternity Past” and “Eternity Present” (John’s present) and “Eternity Future” all converging at once.

In chapter 6 we move into some Eternity Future and almost everything after that is what happens on Earth in the physical, but from the perspective of higher-dimensional experience. This is where John gets to see what the angel showed Daniel and then some, but John gets to see it having the hope of the Messiah ben David (knowing that Jesus/ Y’shua/ Messiah ben Yoseph is returning) and knowledge of the renewed Covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah (new testament). Daniel only got to see bad stuff as far as what he recorded (we don’t know what he was shown that was “shut up”), and indeed there’s going to be some bad stuff. But, we see in the last chapter of Revelation that unlike Daniel, John was told NOT to shut up the vision.

Re 22:10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.  11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

In chapter 7 there are 2 groups of people mentioned besides angels:

Re 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

It is my belief that these are all the saints from all over the world from every denomination who have the faith of Yeshua but deny God’s commandments (Jesus called them “least in the kingdom”) so they are going through the great tribulation, because that is exactly what the Bible says:

1. Re 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Then we have another group of people:

2. Re 7:4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

These I believe are the Saints with both the faith in Yeshua and the commandments of Yahweh/ God, because that is exactly what the Bible says:

Re 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. 13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

Some say this is the “church of Philidelphia” because they divide the 7 churches in Revelation into 7 groups of believers and use it to describe/ support uber-dispensationalism. That might be true even though I’m not a “dispensationalist”, but there is really no Scripture to base that on.  I believe the first group of people will go through the Great Tribulation for purification, the second group of people choose to try to purify themselves (5 wise, 5 foolish virgins breaks it into 2 groups, 10 is not divisible by 7 but I digress); Because before we enter the Kingdom we have to be purified and “overcome”. The Great Tribulation is the period (I am leaning towards a 1 year of tribulation/ purification or only 10-15 days, but I digress) of purification where some will be sealed in the wilderness for a time (perhaps shortened, maybe even just to the 4 months between Pentecost or the “10 days of awe”) even though I know most teachers don’t teach that. So it’s hard for the average Christian to even know what I’m talking about. But I believe we will be with Messiah ben David (the returned Jesus/ Y’shua) face to face somehow and He will lead us out of the wilderness where we were guided and protected/ “sealed” in miraculous ways while leading us back to the promised land in the Greater Exodus that the first Exodus was a shadow of (Dt 10, Jer 3 etc.).

We miss how so many things in the future are just like everything in the old testament repeated and are a shadow-part of things to come repetitively. This will be the Great Harvest that the book of Revelation speaks of I believe; The first exodus was the Great Planting, the second exodus is the Great Harvest. After all, can one sow if he hasn’t planted? That is why we will be singing the Song of Moses:

Re 15:3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.

Ex 15:1 ¶ Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

I understand that this will sound crazy to most people because it is not taught in churches or synagogues, but that does not mean that it’s not in the Bible or isn’t true. The following prophecy will be fulfilled one day which clearly says there is another Exodus coming in the last days:

Jer 16:14 ¶ Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; But, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.

There are so many correlations between the Exodus and Revelation that we must take the time to understand the Exodus in detail before we can understand Revelation because it is a shadow-picture; just like the feasts, and the story of Isaac, and the story of Joseph and his brothers and SO many other stories. And despite what many churches teach, shadow-pictures are the blueprints that Yahweh/ HaShem/ God gave us regarding Messiah ben David and the last days; they are not just things to “learn”, they are things to do so we are ready when the time comes for their fruition/ fulfillment.

The Exodus starts out with the tribes of Israel just like the harvest does. They are the first fruits in Revelation too, but they are named a little differently in Revelation as we will see later. In addition to that, first-born deaths (first-fruits of the womb, righteous deaths which are used for atonement) was a very specific plague before the first Exodus. So to figure out who is going through the second exodus, let us see who went through the first; was it only the Jews as so many churches teach?

Ex 1:1 ¶ Now these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with Jacob. Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin, Dan, and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

Ex 12:37 ¶ And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children. 38 And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.

It was always the 12 tribes and a mixed multitude. There are 12 tribes mentioned in Revelation, but they don’t match the original 12 sons of Jacob/ Israel. Why? Because Ephraim had the double blessing over Manasseh after they were made adopted sons of Israel (Jacob) which actually gives us 14 tribes of Israel minus Dan & Ephraim. sabbath

Jews know this, and they pray this verse as a prayer every day:

Ge 48:5 And now thy two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born unto thee in the land of Egypt before I came unto thee into Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine. Ge 48:20 And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh.

The last day will happen while many of us who do not follow the commandments of Yahweh/God and are not spending time with Him on His appointed times for assembly but are going about our business; and that should scare every person in the world who doesn’t read or study their Bible to learn about this. As John the immerser reminds us:

Mt 3:12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

And as Jesus/ Yeshua tells us in the same Gospel the harvest hour is not known, but the day (within a couple days) and season we do. Just like Jesus/ Yeshua fulfilled the spring/ summer feasts, He will fulfill the fall feasts including Yom Teruah (feast of trumpets), the day when we don’t know will start because it starts when you see the new moon, so everyone waits until they see it (we can’t know the day or hour). It could be in a couple days or the next day. And the harvest happens in the opposite order that churches teach us it will happen as was mentioned. See these verses among others:

Mt 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Mt 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

The DAY we are told that we should know at least somewhat, and the TIMES we should know, and the SEASON and the SIGNS we should know as well. Appointed times of the fall are like the ones in the spring/ summer (Passover, Unleavened Bread, First fruits and Pentecost) in that they are going to be fulfilled literally. But most of us are sleeping like the 5 virgins that didn’t make it to the Marriage Supper in Mathew 25 because they had no oil for their lamp. This is why we have the book of Song of Solomon, especially chapters 3 and 5, to understand more that we are the Bride waiting on the Bridegroom.

And here I take a pause to talk about Adam and Eve and the first marriage, because some talk about the fact that it was not all of Adam’s body that became his bride, it was only 1 rib- perhaps meaning that only those closest to the heart of Yahweh/ God will become the Bride. The rest of us, if we are not the Bride, will only be attendees at the wedding perhaps. And some of us will not make it because we did not keep watch and have oil in our lamps ready for the fall feasts of the marriage supper (sukkot/ passover depending on our view). So let me do my best to share the feasts as I am studying and practicing them. I am still trying to figure out the full implications of feasts fulfillment, but I have have repented and turned back to these days to the best of my ability:

The seventh day (Saturday) Sabbath – (Shabbat) Gen 2:1-3, Lev 23:3, Num 28:9-10, Exo 20:8-11, Deut 5:12-15   A convocation day. No work to be done.

Feast of Passover The 14th day of the 1st month (Abib / Nisan)   Exo 12, Exo 13:6-8, Lev 23:5, Deut 16:3-8, Num 28:16   Note: this was not a convocation day (no public gatherings) or a sabbath day. The Jews considered this day to be the day before Passover (Pesah), which to them is the same as the Feast of Unleavened Bread. The type was the Passover in Egypt, with the blood of the lamb being smeared on the door posts. Jesus and the disciples ate the Passover meal (Matt 26:18-20, Mark 14:12-16) of unleavened bread and wine in the early hours of this day (Exo 12:18), which would have been our Thursday evening (the biblical day begins and ends at sunset). Jesus was crucified, and died the afternoon of the 14th (Friday, the preparation day), at the time the Paschal lambs were being slain (Exo 12:6), at the ninth hour (3 pm.). Passover is a shadow or type of the sacrifice of Jesus (the antitype), the lamb of God, at the cross (1 Cor 5:7). Jesus was buried and in the grave 3 days AND 3 nights so there is no way the story of the catholic church and her “good Friday” is true.

Feast of Unleavened Bread – a week long observance. Travel to the Sanctuary in Jerusalem required of all men, to present themselves before the Lord (Exo 23:14,17, Exo   34:22, Deut 16:16). First day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread 15th day of the 1st month (Abib/Nisan) Lev 23:7, Num 28:17-18   A convocation / sabbath day. No servile work.

The Day of First Fruits The 16th day of the 1st month (Abib / Nisan)   Exo 34:25-26, Lev 23:10-14, – Late Passover Num 9:10-11   Not a convocation day. No restriction on servile work.   Barley harvest – Firstfruits presented to the Lord (Lev 23:10-11) This was the day of first sheaf waving (type), the first fruit of the barley harvest. The antitype was Resurrection which also occurred on 16 Abib / Nisan. Jesus was the first fruits of the resurrection, (1 Cor 15:20, 23, 2 Tim 2:6-8).

Feast of  weeks Shavuot (Pentecost ) Travel to the Sanctuary in Jerusalem required of all men, to present   themselves before the Lord (Exo 23:14,17, Exo 34:22, Deut 16:16). Exo 34:22, Lev 23:15-21, Acts 2:1, Acts 20:16, 1 Cor 16:8   Occurs 50 days after the day of first fruits / barley sheaf waving   (16 Nisan), on or about the 6th day of the third month (Sivan).   A convocation / sabbath day. No servile work done. Wheat harvest – Firstfruits presented to the Lord (Lev 23:17, 20) Also called Feast of Weeks (Ex 34:22), the day of First Fruits (Exo     23:16, Num 28:26) Feast of the Harvest (Ex 23:16) and in the New Testament – Pentecost (Acts 2:1) A festival that celebrated the first fruits of the wheat harvest with the offering of two wave loaves of leavened bread (Lev 23:17, 20).

Trumpets (Yom Teruah)  The 1st day of the 7th month (Ethanim / Tishri)   Lev 23:24, Num 29:1   A convocation / sabbath day. Not called a feast day. No servile work done.

Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) The 10th day of the 7th month (Ethanim / Tishri)   Lev 23:27, Num 29:7, Lev 16 A convocation / sabbath day. No work to be done.

Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkoth) – An eight day feast of ingathering Travel to the Sanctuary in Jerusalem required of all men, to present   themselves before the Lord (Exo 23:14,17, Exo   34:22, Deut 16:16). The first day was the 15th day of the 7th month (Ethanim / Tishri)   Exo 34:22, Lev 23:34-36, 39-43, Num 29:12   A convocation / sabbath day. No servile work done.

The 8th day of the Feast of Tabernacles (Shemini Atzeret) 22nd day of the seventh month.   Lev 23:36,39, Num 29:35   A convocation / sabbath day. No servile work done. The final day of Tabernacles was also a sabbath, a day of solemn assembly. At this time of year the former or early rains fell (late October / November), when the fields were plowed and sown.

So these are the feasts as best as I can see/ understand them, that we are asked by Yahweh/ God to observe in response to the Marriage Covenant that Yeshua renewed or is coming to renew. They are not for our salvation, they’re a gift to us! The Sabbaths and festivals are made for man; They’re gifts, NOT burdens!

Mr 2:27 “And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath”.

We are not clearly commanded in the New Testament to observe all the feasts, but it is clearly shown to us by example and it is assumed that an unchanging God would not need to be clear that He never nailed the whole front of the book to the cross. And the reason for including the feasts of Yahweh in discussion is the clarity they bring to the book of Revelation and End of Times, especially the fulfillment of the future Day of Atonement in the Jubilee, Tishrei 10, in the 70th week of Daniel when the King rules as the Son of David. At this time He will bring the blood of the Lamb to the mercy seat.  It is absolutely impossible to read the new testament alone and understand everything that is going to happen. But truth be told, it is absolutely impossible unless the God of the Old Testament wants us to know. What does the Father want our hearts to be like?

Isa 66:1 ¶ Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?  2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

Now let us clarify “Jews” before we get back to discussing Revelation, otherwise the next parts will make absolutely no sense. God is waking up many Jewish people to Messiah at the same time that He is waking up “Ephraim”, or the sons of Joseph (house of Israel) that were scattered abroad to the commandments;

By “Ephraim” I mean northern “house of Israel”. I am referring to the 10 tribes of Israel that were NOT Jews. We must understand that the house of Israel is the mirrored opposite of the Jews in terms of region (southern house of Judah) as it relates to prophecy.

According to the Complete Unabridged Webster’s Dictionary and Home Library – 1958, 2562 pages, “The kingdoms of Judah and Israel were formed at about the year 937 BC. Israel lost its identity in 722 BC. The southern kingdom of Judah maintained its independence until 586 BC.”

This is an AMAZING time to be alive. So let me be clear; Since the first century the return of Messiah has been “imminent” for believers who didn’t fully understand their Bibles. During WW2 it appeared to match up to Revelation and millions of Christians thought it was the end of the world and Hitler was the antichrist. In fact, many Jews will tell you that the time of Jacob’s trouble was fulfilled during the holocaust, which some say the great tribulation was 7 years for the Jews’ purification.  What they went through is no light matter, it was tragic! It’s interesting to note that Jacob had to work for 7 years for his wife only to find out that he had to work 7 more for the one he wanted. But we have to get it out of our mind that Jacob is only the father of the Jews.

Many Christians also believed that the first Ottoman Empire was ushering in the Antichrist just as some today believe the return of the Ottoman Empire is the beast and Erdogan is the antichrist. The protestant reformation constantly thought the “Holy See” was the antichrist with every new pope. People have been following blood moons for many generations too, it’s not just something that we started noticing the last 10 years even though it’s new to most. There is no shortage of date-setters either who sell snake oil in each generation. Earthquakes, wars, pestilence etc is nothing new and neither is profiting off of fear. Someone somewhere always has these things going on. But we have to study our Bible and know we need 10 nations with 10 kings including Egypt, Libya and Ethiopia included according to Daniel and Revelation in order for us to be in the last days. And I say this to be clear that it is absolutely possible that nothing will happen for 100 more years, NONE of us know for certain. But some day, we will return to the land whose capital is built on the name of God; the Father, Son and Spirit where the fall feasts will be fulfilled as the spring/ summer feasts were by Messiah.

1Ki 11:36 And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a light always before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there.

It is interesting to note that there are no winter feasts and we are told to pray that our “flight” doesn’t come in winter. But it is the fall when grapes are ripe for harvest. So getting back to Revelation, we see the fulfillment of the gathering of the tares:

Re 14:18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.

Why are the angels talking about grapes instead of wheat or barley? It’s because of the time of year that this is going to happen. Wheat and barley are spring and summer crops. Grapes are fall/ autumn crops. We aren’t quite there yet in terms of fulfillment, but I don’t know how much closer we can get. It would seem that this group of re-gathered Tribesmen and women of Israel’s 10 lost tribes (Judah and Benjamin, “Jews” know who they are for the most part) are those who have not been sucked into denominations or have come out of them. Let me explain:

Re 14:4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb

What does it mean “virgins”? Some say they are children and that could also be true. To understand what the virgins have not been defiled with we must understand a mystery.

Re 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

Who is the mother and who are the harlots? Perhaps it is Rabbinic Judaism or perhaps the Roman Catholic church is the mother, and all of the denominations that she birthed during the protestant reformation make up the harlots of mystery Babylon? These are both a possibility. Let’s see how that fits into the Revelation: What if, it was the catholic church who formerly removed the Hebrew roots and commandments of Yahweh/ God from the doctrines that it espoused for 2 thousand years? Before the hellenization of the Bible and the doctrine of Yahweh, 1st-century Christians practiced all of the feasts and Sabbaths, just like the Judaizers created equally sinful doctrines of men after the perfect Word was given by building fences?

These  feasts and Sabbath are the feasts that the Roman Catholic Church and the Greek “church fathers” removed and gave us Christmas and Easter instead, along with replacing the Sabbath: Any person or ministry that has given a specific date that hasn’t happened is a false prophet according to the Bible. Period. It is pretty common practice for me personally to stop investing any time with that person or ministry, no matter how much Truth they have else-wise. I am admitting that the hair on my neck is standing up for the next couple years; But if I was a Jew during the holocaust or an American during WW2, hair on my neck would be an understatement. Things have been much worse than they are today. I am simply a watchman on the wall who spends COUNTLESS hours sifting through false information in search Truth so that others don’t have to. But if anyone makes false predictions:

De 18:22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

Seventh Day Adventists do keep the 7th day set apart and I hear SDA’s talking about 3 angels a lot, but I see a lot more than just 3 angels in Revelation;

1 angelic host of the vision
7 angels of the churches (Rv 2-3)
1 angel asking who is worthy (Rv 5)
1 angel crying to the 4 angels on 4 corners (Rv 7) 1 angel sitting at the altar (Rv 8)
7 angels with 7 trumputs (Rv  8)
1 angel flying in the heaven crying woes (Rv 9)
1 angel of the bottomless pit (Rv 9)
1 angel crying 7 thunders shut up (Rv 10)
1 angel flying in the heaven with the gospel (Rv 14) 1 angel behind him saying Babylon is fallen (Rv 14) 1 angel behind him warning of the mark (Rv 14) 1 angel saying the harvest is ripe (Rv 14)
1 angel with another sickle (Rv 14)
1 angel from under the altar saying to grab the clusters (Rv 14)
1 angel with great might saying Babylon is fallen who threw the stone (Rv 18)
1 angel standing in the sun (Rv 19)
1 angel with keys to the bottomless pit (Rv 20)

Some of these angels may be the same, hard to tell. Indeed SDA’s have held well the true Sabbath despite the rest of the Church’s ignorance. For some however, ignorance is not the culprit; evil, malice, deliberate manipulation can be cited for some denominations and leaders. Our practices though are not what Yahweh is primarily interested in, it’s the heart that is the matter;

Ge 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Ex 25:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.

This is a heart-issue; always has been. In the first Exodus, Yahweh didn’t take the Israelites straight to the Promiseland, and I doubt He will during the Greater Exodus. If we will not prepare our hearts willingly, He will do it for us before we are let in to the Promise.  Let us compare the 2 Exodus’ 10 plagues and judgments:

exodusrevolation

judgements

These are the purpose of the 7 angels that we see in Revelation. Just like in Exodus, these are to show the world that Yahweh is Creator and to pass judgment on those who will not submit to this simple and obvious Truth; The Earth has a Creator and His name (HaShem) is Yahweh. Through His Son, Y’shua (YHVH brings salvation) He created the universe and gave His life for mankind and all He asks in return is that we acknowledge Him by guarding feasts and 10 little commandments, ESPECIALLY the one that celebrates His Creating everything for us- the Sabbath. There are many other commandments but these are a good start. and there are other “7’s” in Revelation and even more in the rest of the Bible. But the “church” which doesn’t understand she is Israel has lost her understanding of those 7’s because we stopped focusing our lives around the 7th day as we were created to. I am just as guilty of not doing it and wasn’t raised doing it.

It is important to understand ALL of the Bible, not just enough of it to believe in Y’shua for salvation as we are taught. There are so many shadow pictures of the Messiah in the old testament that give us understanding of what He is, why He is, who He is and what He came to do (and what He still has in store). He came to be like Moses, Joseph, Joshua, Jeremiah, Hosea etc., all of which are “types” or have traits of the soon-returning Messiah as ben David. And every single one of them obeyed the commandments of Yahweh; so should we. And not only to “obey” the commandments and “observe” the appointed times, but to understand the spirit and heart of the matter. America will soon see that what they preach as bondage, is actually the key to our freedom from sin (breaking the law). It was prophesied many years ago that we would forget His name:

Jer 23:25 I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. 26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart; 27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.

Because we have forgotten His name and forsaken His commandments, Yahweh has forsaken our liberty that He has blessed us with for so many years before our recent apostasy. But just like before, if we will humble ourselves and search out Truth we will become a remnant of a Bride which is what this book of Revelation is pointing to; another Exodus of the Israelites. And let us look at evidence for the veracity of the first Exodus and establish the fact that it really happened before we show evidence of the Greater Exodus: Most have not seen the evidence of the first Exodus by Ron Wyatt, and many claim his discoveries of the first Exodus to be false. That is for each of us to study the evidence ourselves, not listen to others.

Re 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Re 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus

. Re 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Many falsely teach that these “commandments” are simply the 2 commandments that Jesus/ Yeshua gave; Love God and your neighbor. But as we are exploring the Greater/ Second Exodus, let us refer back to the first Exodus. Before the Exodus, Yahweh’s plagues/ judgments were not just on the Egyptians, but each plague/ judgment can be tied to one of their gods: egyptianplagues Actually, these were not only “Egyptian” gods, they go all the way back to Nimrod’s days. These are just the Egyptian “names”. Let’s look at some other names in other cultures for the same gods: godsofworld When Moses brought the mixed multitude out of Egypt, Yahweh gave him 2 tablets of stone. We read in chapter 20 what those 10 statements were. But because Israelites worshiped Yahweh/ God in the way of the nations by making a golden calf (Christmas and easter should come to mind), Moses broke the tablets in anger that the Israelites could not even wait 40 days before they started worshiping Yahweh in the ways the gods of other nations were worshiped. In chapter 34, We read the 10 commandments again but a little bit differently, what’s going on here?

Commandment # 1 Thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:
Commandment # 2 Thou shalt make thee no molten gods.
Commandment # 3 The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt. Commandment # 4 All that openeth the matrix is mine; and every firstling among thy cattle, whether ox or sheep, that is male. But the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb: and if thou redeem him not, then shalt thou break his neck. All the firstborn of thy sons thou shalt redeem. And none shall appear before me empty.
Commandment # 5 Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest: in earing time and in harvest thou shalt rest. Commandment # 6 And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year’s end.
Commandment # 7 Thrice in the year shall all your menchildren appear before the Lord God, the God of Israel. For I will cast out the nations before thee, and enlarge thy borders: neither shall any man desire thy land, when thou shalt go up to appear before the Lord thy God thrice in the year.
Commandment # 8 Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left unto the morning.
Commandment # 9 The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the house of the Lord thy God.
Commandment # 10 Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk.

And after these things Yahweh said this: Ex 34:27 And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.

So the Israelites worshiped Yahweh like the Egyptians worshiped their gods: Egypts-Golden-Calf Am I saying there are more than 10 commandments? More than just the main example 10? What I am saying is that there are 613 commandments, but not all of them apply to all of us. None of us are temple priests, not all of us are women, not all of us are men, etc. 10 of them are mentioned twice as related specifically to the covenant with Israel. So we are to follow the ones that apply to us otherwise we are sinning. But these 10 commandments above seem to be the RENEWED covenant’s 10 commandments after the golden calf incident. I am certain that when the Messiah arrives, He will enlighten us with the True calendar of appointed times and teach us the commandments Himself just like Moses did for the Israelites. So until then we can only do our best to understand. But we should start to see a picture in Revelation of Israelites waking up as the Bridegroom draws near just like it happened before. It is a fulfillment of prophecy that another Prophet would come:

De 18:15 ¶ The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

And this is one of the many reason we are almost certain that Moses is in part one of the 2 witnesses who straighten the path of Messiah ben David. We also see in Jude, that Moses was never buried and in Mathew that he is in the same “state” as Elijah somehow:

Jude 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

Mt 17:3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.

There is also another form of “2 witnesses” to be explained because Israel was divided into 2 houses, Israel and Judah:

Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

So the 12 tribes in Revelation also represent 2 witnesses. Judah represents itself plus Levi and Benjamin. Israel represents all the rest. Together, we are all waking up to the commandments of the Torah and the faith of Messiah which is fulfilling this part of Revelation’s prophecy. And this is what learned disciples should be doing; Going out looking for the lost sheep of the house of Israel, JUST LIKE Jesus Himself commanded us to do:

Mt 10:6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Mt 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Indeed what we are called to do looks very little like Sunday churches in America. Almost 100 % of churches in America are asleep while this book of Revelation unfolds before their very eyes. That is why this website was built; To wake up the sleeping virgins and give them a heart on fire, and to tell them to get their oil for lamps while they still have time. Which brings us to a close of Revelation’s Hebrew roots and the opening of the 7th seal, after which there was half an hour of silence. And here, I really have no idea what this silence is. It could be fulfillment of prophecy

Isa 47:5 Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, The lady of kingdoms.

Or this Scripture that is right before Yahweh rebuked Satan

Zec 2:13 Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.

It is also quite possible that just like the first Exodus, Yahweh/ God will fight our fight for us, we only need to be silent

Ex 14:13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

We see also this silence is foreshadowed in Joshua chapter 6 the way that Jericho was a shadow of Babylon and the 7 seals of revelation that culminate with another 7. There are many shadow pictures in Joshua that mirror Revelation.

But after this silence we see something that almost none of us understand. That’s because we have to know the first 5 books of the Bible and God’s feasts and calendar in order to see the connection. Specifically Leviticus 16: atonement-trumpets This is a clear picture of the Day of Atonement, which as we already have shown to be fulfilled sometime in the future (because it hasn’t happened yet) on the 10th day of the 7th month. This is the place in Revelation where devastation goes off the charts. We have Wormwood (which could be an asteroid or planet), hailfire (comets), and all of these nasty events as the 7 trumpets are blown on the feast of trumpets on the 1st day of the 7th month.

Re 8:13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!

The day of trumpets at the sighting of the new moon is the most discussed appointed time in all of Scripture, it’s just not all in one place. It’s discussed more than even Passover, but our western, traditional minds don’t recognize it. In chapters 9-10 we have even more woes. It’s not going to be pretty. But in Chapter 11 we start to get some of the “good news” of this Gospel of the kingdom.

Re 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

The bottomless pit opens up and what comes out kills the 2 witnesses (in Jerusalem) for all the world to see on mobile devices. And their resurrection also will be seen by all. Revelation 12-18 is the tribulation of both the saints and the mystery Babylon. It is the persecution and war against the saints of Yahweh/ God that the armies of the nations of one world religion bring against His saints. In chapter 19 we see that Yahweh’s army and the enemy’s army mount up against each other. And we see the second title in the book of Revelation that is all capitals. KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. The first title is MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. Who is this mystery Babylon? babylonEU45052549_orig

In chapter 20-22, we see the adversary bound for a thousand years on Earth and some of us will be ruling with Messiah, we will be judging with Him in His new Jerusalem where the Father’s name is. Will that be in heaven or on Earth according to the Bible? Personally, I don’t think it matters as long as we make it this far. The End, or the beginning? I see it as both. These last 2 chapters tell us what it looks like to go back to the garden to a sinless state with access to the Tree of Life (Yeshua/ Torah). For more details, you can study with the high-level outline of the book of Revelation http://www.kingdomspirit.org/website/files/2015/02/Revolation_Outline.pdf

But remember this passage as you study:

1Th 5:1 ¶ But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. or when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

Jer 6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.

“Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.”
